Enrique Chia has just recorded the new album “Forever…” that includes his favorite melodies by composer Armando Manzanero.  Known for his romantic compositions that have circled the world, including “It’s Impossible” and “Yesterday I Heard the Rain”, Manzanero’s songs have endured through the years, as new generations rediscover the emotions evoked by his timeless melodies. In this new recording, Enrique Chia is accompanied by a string orchestra to create his most romantic recording.

Emmy Award

Enrique Chia recently received the Suncoast Emmy Award in the category of Best Cultural Documentary for “La Cuba Eterna” (Eternal Cuba), which he co-produced with WPBT, the South Florida PBS affiliate. This documentary celebrates the breathtaking beauty and character of a country that for centuries has captured the world’s imagination. Seen through the eyes of Enrique Chia, it is a personal memoir, musical journey and loving exploration of the island’s rich heritage. The documentary has been shown in Spanish by WPBT channel 2 in Spanish for the past year, and will show this Fall in English throughout the PBS stations nationwide during the Hispanic Heritage month.  You can contact your local PBS station for more information on date and time of the local showing.  It will be available for sale through your PBS station, this website or by calling (800) 248-2336.

Enrique Chia was recently inducted into the prestigious “Georgia Institute of Technology Engineering Hall of Fame” for his technical contributions to the wire industry in an awards ceremony at the W Midtown Hotel in Atlanta, GA
